The Farmers' Market is opening Thursday, May 7th from 3:30-6:30pm. Mayor Stanley will be there around 4pm to welcome one and all to the market. We have many familiar faces returning to the market as well as new ones. Come out and see what's in season, what's new and meet the vendors.

The market is located on Academy Street in parking lot across from the old police station.

The American Bus Association (ABA) announced today that the Seafood Feast-I-Val, held annually on the second Saturday in August, has been designated as one of the Top 100 Events in North America for 2009 by an elite tourism industry selection committee. Inclusion in the Top 100 list, published as a supplement to the September/October issue of Destinations magazine, indicates that Seafood Feast-I-Val offers excellent entertainment value to both tour groups and individual travelers from around the world, said ABA.
