Victoria L. Jackson-Stanley was born and raised in Cambridge, Maryland. Victoria is a graduate of Cambridge High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Salisbury State College. Victoria has a Masters of Social Work degree from Howard University School of Social Work.
Currently she works full time as the Deputy Director of the Dorchester County Department of Social Services where she serves as the Assistant Director for Family Investment programs. She has spent her career working with various Departments of Social Services on the Eastern Shore.
She has always believed that civic involvement is the key to a community’s success. She is a current or former member of the following organizations: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Chesapeake Bay Girl Scouts, Dorchester County Democratic Club, Salisbury University Alumni Association, NAACP, and MCEA.
She is a member of Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church, where she serves as a Sunday School Superintendent, VP of the Gospel Choir, Communion Steward, Lay Member to Peninsula Delaware Annual Conference and Missions Committee. The Mayor is married and is a mother and grandmother.
