September 8, 2016

On Sept. 6, 2016, Cambridge City Council met in a noticed closed session with the Dorchester County Council, Senator Addie Eckhardt, and representatives of UM Shore Regional Health to discuss UM Shore Regional Health’s proprietary business operations remaining in Cambridge/Dorchester County.
Authority for closure of the meeting:  Section 3-305(b)(4) of the General Provisions Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, meeting to consider a matter that concerns the proposal for a business or industrial organization to locate, expand, or remain in the City/County/State.

Representatives of UM Shore Regional Health presented information relative to both their Easton and Dorchester hospitals and their intentions for continued medical facilities and services in both counties.

Following the closed session, the City Council reconvened in open session, at which time the City Attorney reported that information was presented by UM Shore Regional Health and that no actions were taken by either City Council or County Council.
