The City of Cambridge Historic Preservation Commission will conduct a meeting on Thursday, April 19th, at 7:00 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 305 Gay Street. The following items are on the agenda for this meeting:

Consent Agenda:

HPC#41-12, 207 Mill St., Larry Hunt, install 4 ft. wood picket fence, partially remove chain link fence.

Regular Agenda Items

HPC#45-11, (Amendment) 204 Belvedere Ave. William K. George, install four (4) additional photo-voltaic solar panels on remaining areas of rear roof.  Request is to amend original application previously approved. Also associated with HPC#44-11.

HPC#36-12, 6 Oakley Street, Jim Linthicum, (1) replace garage doors on accessory building with wood sliding door; (2) install  two concrete driveways in front of accessory building off Hambrooks and off Oakley Street; (3) replace twelve (12) existing windows and storm windows (6 over 1) on various floors of the main house with vinyl replacement windows; (4) install black iron handrail on side porch; (5) install white corner gutter;

HPC#37-12, 306 Mill Street, Pat Condon, request to allow permanent removal of 12' chimney located on front right side of house damaged during recent storm event.

HPC#38-12, 209 Oakley St., Paul Schulze, Jr. remove/demolish accessory building in rear, replace porch roof, replace window in rear with sliding door.

HPC#39-12, Long Wharf Park, Heart of Chesapeake Heritage Area, request to install Harriet Tubman historical byway marker.

HPC#40-12, 1105 School Street, Sharon B. Smith, install proposed rear porch and deck extension, remove existing 19' x 12' shed.

HPC#42-12, 501-505 Poplar St., Novo Corp., request to replace deteriorated asphalt shingles with slate like Certainteed asphalt shingle replacement on main part of building. Repairs consider to minor emergency due to leaks.

HPC#42-10, 120 High St., Farrell McCoy (Jay Corvan, Architect), revisions to rear upper door/porch-railing and new door proposed.

Administratively Approved/Routine Maintenance:

903 Locust St.,- Brian Roche, repair rear porch with in-kind material on soffit, lower columns, flooring and foundation.  Minor use of AZEK material on lower ground level porch band board-no character defining features affected.  Approved-Administrative and Routine Maintenance 3-26-12.

1102 Locust St.,- Ed Maloney, replace 3-tab shingles with in-kind on damaged upper roof portion of house. Approved as Routine Maintenance 3-16-12.

113 High St.- Dave Singletary, replace 3 tab shingles on rear addition with 3 tab matching shingles; repair damaged soffit and fascia, curb and gutter on rear and front with matching in-kind material. Approved as Routine Maintenance 3-16-12.

216 Willis St., Larry Mills-owner, renter to relocate or remove illegally installed satellite dish on side porch (corner lot) pending property owner approval. (carry over item- no action).

208 Willis St.-Doris Insley, Holly Dickerson owners, (filed by Brandon Spear Construction), replace 3 tab shingle w/ 3 tab shingle on house.  Approved as Routine Maintenance.  No ridge vents authorized without further HPC approval. 04-14-12.
