Description:
The City of Cambridge and Habitat for Humanity Choptank solicited bids for the electrical system, plumbing, fire suppression system, HVAC system and alarm system of a single-family home. This work is being financed, in whole or in part, through deferred loans and/or grants as provided by the Department of Housing and Community Development grant to the City of Cambridge. Bids were solicited by advertisement and by invitation from a list of contractors obtained from the State of Maryland Women and Minority owned business listings. All contractors who wished to bid attended the pre-bid construction meeting on October 20, 2025 at 10:00am at 500/502 Pine St, Cambridge, MD. Pre-bid construction meeting information and Bid documents were available online at https://habitatchoptank.org/about-us/how we-build/contracts-and-bid-proposals/ or from Habitat Choptank Office, 29349 Maple Ave, Trappe, MD 21673. This was also advertised in the Dorchester Star on October 8, and again on October 15, 2025.
Bids were received by 1:00pm on Monday, November 3, 2025, and were opened at 1:05pm.
