You Don’ Know Nothin’Bout Groove City is a documentary film that uses Cambridge’s long and illustrious musical history which includes such greats as Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald and James Brown to explore the racial tensions among its citizenry, and how a small group of DJs brought hope to the town after a fire burned down the Pine Street corridor and all of its black history. It is also a story of how a small group of courageous and diverse people willing to have difficult conversations are set on healing old wounds.
